Wisconsin Citizens & Wildlife Rehabbers -- Urgent

“We, the senior member of the world’s scientific community warn all humanity of what lies ahead. A great change in our stewardship of the earth and the life on it is required, if vast human misery is to be avoided, and our global home on this planet is not to be irretrievably mutilated….Our massive tampering with the world’s interdependent web of life, coupled with the environmental damage inflicted by deforestation, species loss and climate change, could trigger widespread adverse effects, including unpredictable collapses of critical biological systems whose interactions and dynamics we only imperfectly understand.” Henry Kendall, Union of Concerned Scientists, issued in 1992

Do you care?

On April 13, 2009 at 7 p.m. in your county will be a meeting held for the past 75 years and kept away from the knowledge of all the Wildlife Rehabbers and non hunting public. If you want to help regulate what the DNR regulations are for YOUR state wildlife, be at this meeting in your county. If we don't do it who will? Stand up and be counted. Make a difference or suffer the environmental consequences without complaining!!

Info can be found at http://lawbreakersanonymous.com/Wisconsin-Rehabbers.htm

WAKE UP WISCONSIN AND TAKE YOUR RIGHTFUL PLACE FOR OUR WILDLIFE!!! IF YOU DON'T WHO WILL?

  1. Don't you really think this is going a bit overboard. I know that the wildlife is important, but to indicate that the "stewardship of the earth" will be affected and our "global home on this planet will be irretrievably mutilated" is just alarmist and irrational.

I think this is an exploitation of the true problems we have on our planet in order to try to coerce some type of Utopia that is defined by those who care more about animals than they do about human life and is based on witchcraft and nature worship. We are to worship the creator, not the creation.

  2. The quote used as given by the senior members of our scientific community are words of wisdom. Not exploitation.

We are to worship the creator but not care about his creations? Go to Genesis and read our first command from the Lord. "Care for my creatures". Be good stewards of His Earth and don't hold ourselves above any of His creations.

    Thank you for your comment.

  5. the more i read that comment by anonymous, that logic is nuts, instead of taking that exstreme view that somehow we r more important, wow, this earth would do just fine with out us humans ,it would do better with only animals, but my point is we cam co-exist in the middle,i mean like a freind of mine said its crazy that we can kill these animal, trap them thats all legal, but its crazy that it is not legal in some state to love them, that ass backward, even though the anonymous thinks she is higher somehow, does that mean we have to be inhumane to critters ,no,i strongly disagree with that theory of anonymous i would never think that way, never, but cant there be a common thread not to be inhumane to critters u think your superior to????,matzo i cant find or get your petition can u email the whole thing to me,cmwmkw@gmail.com,i dont know how well u know sunchaser but she is the one who made me aware of u and i am glad, mary wille

  6. Probably best to not dwell on the anonymous post. Most with conviction would sign their names.

If you could contact surrounding counties and get more citizens in your area involved and talk to your rehab colleagues? An exponential education is needed here. It's obvious a lot of educating is needed for those who are not aware of the important role our wildlife plays in our State's ecosystem.

Today I will educate one, who will educate two ... that is three .... those three will each educate two or more.... that is 9 or more... those 9 could become dozens in a short time. We can only hope we reach enough who will help educate others about the important roles these creatures have.

We just need to show up at the election and see for ourselves what is being voted on and monitor we have someone representing our wildlife in their best interest. That's all. The wildlife don't have a voice. Be that voice for them.
